Moy Sports Forum and GAA
A GAA Pilot Programme spearheaded by Ballina Stepenites in conjunction with Moy Sports Forum takes place on Wednesday evenings in Ballina. The focus is on children from the Parkside to get them engage with the Stephenites Club. Club coaches have worked with the children each week teaching them the skills and disciplines of the game. Sandra Hennigan and James Maughan from INVOLVE youth centre have encouraged children attending their centre to be part of this GAA Pilot Programme with great results. Some of the children already have attended Stephenites and others it is hoped will follow. The forum recognise the need for such partnerships in the future and hope to work closely to support the children in the future and indeed any similar programmes.
